The Combined Art Societies of Sydney Inc (CASS) Art of Sydney Awards Exhibition is back for 2018! Now in its 28th year, this annual celebration showcases the wonderful diversity of Sydney’s leading local artists and features over 300 artworks from 14 art societies around Sydney and the Wider Sydney Basin.
The 28th CASS Art of Sydney Awards Exhibition will take place over the Australia Day weekend from Thursday, 25 January to Sunday, 28 January 2018 at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour. The dates and times to view this wonderful art is as follows:
Thursday, 25 January 9.30am to 6pm
Friday, 26 January (Australia Day) 9.30am to 8pm
Saturday, 27 January 9.30am to 6pm
Sunday, 28 January 9.30am to 5pm
Renowned Australian artist Kasey Sealy will be the exhibition judge, with the awards presentation taking place on Saturday, 27 January from 2pm to 4pm.
This is a free exhibition, and all artworks are offered for sale. Featured artists hail from all over Sydney – from the Central Coast and the leafy North Shore, to the eastern suburbs and inner Sydney Harbour communities, plus south to the St George and Sutherland shire, west to the Nepean and Macquarie towns, from the Blue Mountains and the Southern Highlands district of Bowral.
CASS is a non-profit group run entirely by volunteer art lovers. They are extremely proud of the 28 years they have been organising the Art of Sydney exhibition, which also raises funds for CareFlight.
